Star Trek : 25th Anniversary

Released by Interplay in 1993, this game combined Sierra style graphic adventure with a pseudo-3D dogfighting sim. With full command over the crew of the Enterprise, you battle alien spacecraft and perform away missions.
Adventure gamers were not particularly happy to have arcade style shooting in the middle of a fantastic graphic adventure, but I sure was. I always found adventure games somewhat boring, but the combination of slick animation, interesting stories, and cool battles was perfect.

Unlike many adventure games at the time, in this game you can succeed in your mission without making all the right decisions. At key points in the game, you are given choices in conversation and in combat that will effect the outcome and your overall score. To get the best possible score, search all areas thoroughly for secrets and only set your phaser to kill if absolutely necessary. Remember that stunned enemies wake up when you leave and return to an area. If you're really stuck, you can search the Enterprise computer by typing in terms that you read in conversation text.

YOU NEED THIS TO PLAY: A Galaxy Map shows you which planet is which - a qaint form of copy protection. You might wanna print this.
