Artist Laura Wambsgans paints colorful landscapes that take you to many of the beautiful places she has visited. A love of nature and a passion for art are evident in the posts at her A Painting a Day Blog. In the artist’s statement on her website, Laura describes the moment of inspiration:

There is an Ahh-Haaa moment, when I see something, for example the light dancing though tree branches and at that moment all the breath gets knocked out of me, time stops and I freeze. In my heart I am aching for a brush in my hand.
